Any Yamaha boaters interested in doing a run from Fishing Battery Island to Chesapeake Inn? (Or open to going to other places/suggestions). I drop in at port deposit, MD.

Figured I would attempt to get the conversation started and if people are interested we can figure out a date.

I'd be interested, however I would be coming from the opposite direction in NJ. I'm not against driving to the Port Deposit area to launch.

I'd also be interested in this. Will be following the thread. I've put in at Havre De Grace several times so familiar with the area.

I’d be interested. I also typically put in at Havre de Grace.

Nice, that's 4 including me! Will keep gathering as people see this and respond. Will set a date.

I'm further south in the Bay, near Tilghman Island, but would love to meet up when you decide on a date/itinerary.

I’d be interested but coming from NJ as well. Will need some guidance on where to put in

I am in Southern MD. I would not be against towing my boat and launching up there!

I do a lot of boating in he upper bay, I'd be interested in doing something

Where do u put in at port deposit. I’m from Lancaster and looking for options. Thanks

Marina Park, Port Deposit. $10 per launch or $50 per season. It’s just below Tomes Marina.

Sounds like fun, I'm in too

Wish I was back home...I'd be in.

Thanks. I google mapped it. How is the ramp and dock in your opinion?

I was checking this place out too.

I drop in at Fort Smallwood but I would be willing to drive up for a meet.

There is a public boat ramp on the opposite shore, directly across from port deposit. Honor system funded. There never seems to be a shortage of trailers parked there, so I assume the ramp is adequate.

I've been to the Lapidum ramp, it's fairly steep but not too bad - there's 2 ramps. The road leading into it is long and narrow and requires slow going when towing the boat. The time I went, there seemed to be a lot of seagrass on the trailers parked in the lot. Stay off of Stafford road (if towing a trailer) that heads north out of the ramp, it's very narrow and no where to pull off to let somebody pass if you meat them going the opposite direction (ask me how I know).
