Does anyone have any knowledge about the us power squadron? I was just strolling through the Internet and came across one of their Web sites. It seems they are a very large national organization. I was wondering if anyone here was a member and what it's all about.

They're legit. My dad back in the day had taken both a USCG and a Power Squadron course. He liked both as they dealt with different topics. I believe he said the USCG was more on rules of the road and such while the Power Squadron was more on boat handling. But that was 30+ years ago now.

There volunteers that patrol the lake and provide assistance. You get your gas paid for to cruise around the lake basically. There are a couple old dudes that patrol our marina and I have to constantly yell at them for no wake. It always amazes me that they think they can barrel through our Marina just because they are on duty.
