I'm about ready to pull the trigger on an SX195, but in general all the vinyl/seating seems really stiff. We're coming out of a 95 searay 175 and the vinyl seems much thicker and the padding is deeper as well. (believe it or not, it's still in decent shape!)
Does anyone make off the shelf upgraded vinyl or would I need to take a brand new boat in for a custom interior....
So I've really settled on the Yamaha for the performance, and it will perfectly/barely fit in the garage. Wife would like a cushier ride for the next 20 years....

I briefly investigated scarab, but the performance doesn't seem to be there and I'm hesitant on the bpr reputation and the manufacturers quoted top speed of an 195 id impulse is 45-48? I like the Yamaha 195 boat test 52mph better and the riva yamaha stage 2 option to get to 60.....

Kind of feel like I'm out of options....

To answer your question, no I don't believe anyone makes anything like your looking for.
The OE fabric should last a long time if cared for. Use UV protection spray on it every week or 2 and keep the boat covered when not in use. My boat is an 09 and other than some of the piping has cracked in a few small areas, my seats are in great shape.

I do the same. The cover is huge to protect your seats. I can't believe the amount of people at my marine that don't cover there boats. One boat inperticular a guy has a 2020 Colbalt R5, I've never seen it covered all summer. Two week ago I poked my head in there and the boat is trashed. It's in a uncovered slip wet towels, beer cans, dirt and grim. I know its none of my business, put it just pisses me off. I am probable a little jealous cause if it was my R5 it would be pristine.

The vinyl should soften up a little over time, but if it is stiff, it is probably because it is a thicker, better vinyl than what is in your SeaRay. The vinyls have gotten a lot better than what was around in the 90's

A guy with a 17 242 limited s pulled up to my dock at the marina the other day so i got out of my boat to go chk it out. The one thing i noticed was how thick and awesome the interior vinyl was compared to my 08 232 limited. Stiffer yes and more of a thick leather feel to it. Much better quality imo.

I stopped by a Four Winns dealer at lunch and same thing, super nice looking vinyl, but very firm just like the Yamaha. I'm thinking maybe my old searay foam has lost it's support so it feels softer.....
Thanks for letting me bounce this off you!

I have a 2020 gmc truck with leather interior and honestly its the same way. Very stiff and firm but its also comfortable. I think thats just the way things are now days.

Spray the snot out of it with 303, let it dry, wipe and buff the excess off, and do this every time you go out. Within a handful of trips, you will have an easy to clean interior, and it'll feel much better. At that point, it'll be up to you if you want to continue this process, or just maintain it with a once in a while treatment. IMO, it does change the feel, slowly but surely, and softens it up
