Wake Board racks...swivel or not to swivel???

Hey Y'all... Looking to start doing some wake boarding this season along with the kids and need to add a wake board rack.

Do you guys/gals prefer the swivel or fixed racks? Is the swivel worth the extra money..?

Not sure what to get. Leaning to the fixed ones since this will be our first attempt at wake boarding and if the kids don't enjoy and don't want to do it anymore Im not out of a lot of money. As for me, I'll keep trying until I get the hang of it.

depending on you tower set up and how they would swing,

I have fixed and wish they would swing but we use the boards everytime, I have to stand on the back, hold the tower and reach around to load/unload the boards,

If your kids are just getting started a cheap knee board is an easy way to get them used to being behind the boat and being pulled and I can pull two at a time and they don't fall down as easy,

Swivel...all the way!

I put a fixed rack on my boat and although it's still there after three seasons, it is always a balancing act to reach out and put boards in the rack. Once there, it's also a loooonnnggg reach to latch them down with the bungee.

Another benefit when docking is that you can swing the boards inside the boat and not have to worry about people walking into them (or making it as easy to walk off with them).

Same thing for towing, you can swivel the racks inside the boat.

Yeah, This will be our third season with the boat... Did kneeboarding last year and they did great. Wanting to start something more challenging. If they had their ways my daughter would do nothing but swim and my son would push his limits on being thrown around on the tubes/inflatables.. I have to agree with him they are all get out fun on the inflatables.

See we would be swapping back between their boards and mine wasn't sure if it was with the cost for the convenience ..

If you tie up to other boats or have pier pilings so then you'll want swivel.

BTW, how odd does it look to have just one rack? I'll get another next year cuz the wife wants to wake surf, yes I know that a whole other animal in our Yamaha's, and I'll get one for those boards.
Anyone have any pix with just one rack?

I installed just one rack this year, I think it looks perfectly fine. I didn't want to spend the additional money for one that I don't need. We just have the two wakeboards currently. I was worried about it looking offset but it doesn't bother me at all. I don't have very good pics of the single rack but here's a few that show both sides.

I plan to only buy one as well. I just want my surf board off the floor. I will probably splurge and get a swivel one as I tie up to other boats with towers and don't want to bang them, especially if they have racks too.

I'll say this: if you want to buy an inexpensive rack, get a one with no swivel - what @Khalid posted will work.
But -if you want/need a swivel then you are better off getting a better quality (and more $$$), a cheap swivel will drive you nuts.
XTP and Monster Tower carry the OEM swivel racks, there are two types, both are solid, I like the newest best. Monster is cheaper by almost $100 - if it fits your tower leg.
All personal opinions of course!

Swivel all the way. Especially if you tie up with other boats.
I've had trouble finding swivel racks for my 212x, so I'm strongly considering eliminating them and adding surf pockets to my Bimini.
