Picking up my 2018 242 tomorrow. Pretty pumped. Thank you all for the advice now and into the future.

Based on the groups feedback I have ordered in the following upgrades:

Now:
Stoltz roller
Fins and thrust vectors
Mantis Anchor w/ anchor buddy
Bungy bow lines
8 inch boat fenders

Near future:
Speaker upgrades (currently have a Wetsounds stealth 10 on my UTV that I will be relocating)
Keelguard

What am I missing in the upgrade department that is key??

Everything in my 242X thread? LOL

First jet boat. Had a 19ft boat previously.

I have historically launched at Bartons yet until I get comfortable with launching I was thinking of launching it at Rollingview for $5. I usually don't see many people launching there. Thoughts?

Very good plan! Rolling View is always deserted!

The hwy 50 ramp is good also.. 60 bucks a year and its limitless entry in Jordan falls and Kerry.. And the park rangers patrol it.

Barton is too crazy!

Thanks for the recommendation. Will have to check it out.

With my last boat I could launch in 5 min by myself at Bartons. Had a good system. Will take time with the bigger boat.

One of the best things I’ve done is installed a high volume inflator on the boat. Works great for blowing up the big tubes and 6x10 island for the kids to jump on.

I’ve got my parts list and short write up in the doc linked in my signature. I haven’t taken the pics yet to add to it, but I will one of these days.

You could just get the pump and alligator clip to the battery (when needed), if you don’t want to tackle the rest of it. :)

Congrats on the boat!!
