Wake surf competition at lake lanier

FYI, for those who frequent Lake Lanier…..Southern Surf Slam wake board competition this weekend, 6/28-6/29/24, 8a-6p. Lake Lanier’s Olympic park.

Looks like the same boat was used and the competitors were ferried out and back on a PWC?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I guess that would eliminate any variables associated with the wake boat among competitors. For transparency, I did not go to event. I boat on that lake and have noticed an increase in wakeboarding over the last few years along with the volume of people moving to the area.

We were out there that Friday but didn’t know there was anything going on. I Was on a boat with a buddy who was part of a boat club and cruising/surfing around the lake.

Would have loved to see it.

btw, the amount of law enforcement and DNR etc on Lanier was crazy…!! Not use to all that.
