Hey to all!
Looking for some info regarding wake surfing.
I had my first try last weekend. We tried it a bit different as we are all very new to this....my kids and nephew were my test pilots and I was the Driver. I purchased a board called "The Thing" by Conelly, kinda of a board you can do a lot on but not specially a wakesurf board. I had them start on their stomachs, and transfer to their knees to just get a feel for the wake. They were able to feel the wake pull them in which they loved!
My question is what speed is advisable? I was around 8-9 Mph but the wake wasn't very clean. I started with all tanks 100% full, then dumped the port rear tank and had my wife and 2 others in the boat all sit on the Starboard rear. Wake was better but I still think I'm missing something. Also, how long is the rope from the Tower.
I'm heading up tomorrow for a 2 week vacation and plan to work with my girls a lot on this...their Stoked!!
Thanks!
Mike
