Wakeboarding with bimini top - Scarab 195 Impulse

Hi gang, first post, thanks in advance for the help.

I’m having trouble getting my tow rope to clear the bimini top on our Scarab 195 Impulse with a factory tower and bimini.

We’ve tried running the rope over and under the top but it rubs the frame and canvas both ways. Tried pulling the bimini back behind the tow point which would work if it didnt flop around so much.

How are y’all getting around towing with the bimini installed? Or should it be removed dor watersports? Thanks so much!

Hello and welcome! We don't have a Scarab, but we do have a Vortex and we ski / wakeboard from the tower with the bimini open all the time. We have never had an issue with the rope rubbing. When the rope is pulled tight and the boat takes off, it clears the bimini with no issues. Sorry, I cannot be of more help.
