They certainly look good however I just don't see what folks see in Hard crabs and I live in Maryland. To me they are to much work and food is meant to be enjoyed. give me a soft-shell crab or crab cakes any day.[flag]

Love soft shells and cakes myself...but neither compare to catching, cooking and peeling your own...if ya don’t get it, ya don’t get it.

I get it however did you ever get one of those small cuts from the shell. They burn like hell and I am not into pain.:p:)[flag]

Nice catch! I’ve never seen a crab cake pulled out of a pot before... ;)

Very nice catch! How long were the pots soaking to catch that many?

I have 2 traps and typically set them Sun./Sat., check Weds./Thurs., pull Sat./Sun.

We used to have a canal house in Galveston's West End--Jamaica Beach, TX. Our routine was to get there Friday afternoon, drop the trap in the canal, and then Saturday morning we'd be eating crab omelets! I do miss that!
