Boat fire at Backwater Jacks.

I don't know anything about boat fires but would it not be safer to just let it burn down to reduce the risk of gasoline explosion? That thing did not want to go out.

Fiberglass resin burns great.....glad everyone got off......... that is a boaters worst nightmare fire

LOTO had a family of five over Memorial Day have the same thing happen after fueling up. Two of the kids were in the hospital for awhile but are home now I believe, definitely scary stuff.. on the firefighting part, I wanna say they probably wanted to put it out just so it doesn’t drift anywhere close to a dock, there is a fueling station probably 50 yards from where that boat is too. I assume those fire boats have some foam to mix in with the lake water to try and put it out but not totally sure on that either.. Glad no one was hurt…

On another note, my wife and mom saw a gal tumble off a boat in the cove when we were anchored, thankfully she was okay, I assume she had some alcohol on board since it looked like a charter boat for a bachelorette party ?
