We picked up a new 2018 Yamaha waverunner and when reading through the manual it said that it has a fuel/water separator. Do the newer Yamaha boats have this as well? My 2012/2014 Yamaha's don't.

If there is one on my boat its well hidden.
But i am pretty sure there is none.
I think waverunners have them in case of a flip upside down

They are not in the boats. I have read on the other site of people installing them just for precaution, but Yamaha does not recommend them. Think with the ethanol gas and humid damp climates people were doing it just in case. Waverunner makes sense like you said they can flip and be exposed to much more water.

I also know that my neighbors's Yamaha 2 stroke outboard has one as well. I was surprised to see the Waverunner had one now as well.
