That looks like fun. I may get out there.

I may have to find a sitter for the kiddos and make it out this time. We drove by last year with the family and it looked and sounded like a good time.

I have heard talk about it. And since I am new to the Panama City area I am going to make it a priority to experience everything this area has to offer. Know I will be launching at the Panama City marina. A lot of open parking and not to far from shell island.
I do not recommend launching at the Saint Andrews marina only about 10 parking spots if your lucky.
I hope the boaters on this forum in this area will be able to come. I am also going to participate in the 2018 Emerald Coast poker run as well. This would be a great Opportunity to meet up and have some fun.

Watch the ramp at the city marina. It has a huge drop off at the end of it! I my trailer had one wheel off when I launched/recovered at high tide. St Andrews park has plenty of parking but it can get tight launching/recovering on busy days.

I personally don't like the St Andrews State park ramp. There was so much sea grass that was floating in the water my pumps became clogged. I spent 10min floating outside the breakwall clearing them out. Plus there is no protection on the concrete pilings that you have to tie up too. I do like the Lynn Haven boat ramp but its a 30min ride to the passing.

Curious, when they say it'snot kid friendly, what are they referring to that's not kid friendly?

Well I'm guessing there will be copious amounts of alcoholic beverages being consumed which may lead to some bad decisions

lol, that's what I figured, so typical party cove type stuff.

When I visit PCB I always launch at Safari or Dolphin public launches. Usually there's parking and it's not far from Shell island but you'll have to go through the long no wake zone. St. Andrews park is a nightmare and like you said it offers no protection against the concrete sea wall.
