Hello all new to the forum. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the replacement wear ring housings with the delran wear ring in it? specifically i need to know if its possible to take my housings and have them machined to accept the replacement wear rings in them or is the housing completely different? thank you all for your help and i'm sure future help lol

It is possible to get the current housing machined to fit the plastic inserts. However, you would need to get the circumference right. The aftermarket housings that I bought for my former SX230 were made for the specific inserts I purchased. The diameter of the inserts were a tiny bit bigger than the housing opening by design. Part of fitting new inserts was to freeze the inserts first so they shrunk a little and then pounding the inserts in place. When that is done, they are tight as if they were one unit. Obviously the machine shop would need to do their homework.

Ok great thank you so much. i assumed as much do to the way my sea doo ski wear ring was change. (same thing with freezing) i looked at my starboard pump today and noticed rust spots on the inboard side of the wear ring housing. and i am getting a good vibration from that motor.
