Hey ST. I'm buying a new 2024 AR250 next month and plan to upgrade the audio system. How were you going to use this amp in your system?

Also while I have you, could I ask for your advice on this upgrade?

My plan: Replace the 6 speakers, add a subwoofer, add amp(s).

Q1: How many amps do you recommend and how many channels per amp?
Q2: Related to q1, do I need to control bow, cockpit, and swim deck speaker zones independently?
Q3: Do I need a headunit, or will the Connext screen be able to effectively control zones and sub?
Q4: How hard is it to run new speaker wires from amp(s) to speaker and sub location?

Thanks in advance!!

The amp was going to power a pair of Wet Sounds Rev-10 Tower Speakers and is a perfect match for them.

I’ll have to get back to you on your questions.

Hey everyone. I'm dropping the price to $500.00 and will be posting on Offer Up and Ebay.

I'd rather sell it to someone from the group so please reach out as soon as possible.

This amp won't be around at this price for long.

I recommend you replaced both amps with something like the wet sounds SYN-DX6 as it has a lot of power and versatility. Yes you will want to continue control the different areas of rhe boat independently using the zones that are already set up as shown on the Connext display. If you want to continue to use the Connext as your source unit, which I recommend you do as the amps will really improve the sound, you will need to have a new wiring harness to connect into the new amps as they all use RCA inputs. The current amps are hardwired in and don’t use RCA jacks. Fortunately, I have a set of those as I was going to do exactly what you’re planning to, but I’ve now decided to also change the head unit so I do t need them anymore. I paid over $300 for both and I’m willing to sell them for $200 if you’re interested. There are two of them and I’ve included a picture of one of them. Both are the same. They plug into the output of the Connext head unit and then you simply plug each RCA jacks into the new AMPs input. Each RCA output pair represents one of the zones that you see on Yammah Connext screen. IMG_6739.jpeg

On the XD models you have 4 zones (tower, cabin, sub and transom), On our 24 222 SE there are only 2 zones (cabin and transom) I haven't found any options on how to get 3 zones on our SE. We have 2 amps WS SYN-DX6 for cabin and sub (10" FA) and a SYN- DX2 for tower speakers (Rev 8's). I guessing this isn't an option either?

I did not know that. Thanks. The tower speakers in my XD are Wet Sounds Icon 8s. The stock amps were Wet Sounds HDX-6 & HDX-4 (sub & tower). Those amps have no ability to be adjusted and are underpowered, which is why I replaced them with the Wet Sounds Sinister SDX6s as they have 185 watts per channel and can be tuned. I also added another 10” sub.

The only way to get three zones I can think of without replacing the Yamaha Connext head unit is to add Wet Sounds WS-420 equalizer. WS-420 SQ | Wet Sounds™ Marine Multi Zone 4-Band Parametric Equalizer. You will still need the wiring harnesses that I have to do this.

Thanks for the input. We had Icon 8s on our 195s with an HTX-6 and an HTX-2. The HTX -2 was good match for the icons, but the HTX-6 didn't have enough power to make the sub hit. I am much happier with the sub on the SYN-DX6. I will be replacing the stock Recons with Revo 6's.
