Tell me what cleaners I need to buy!! Our new boat will be on lakes only. What do we need to clean the boat and maintain the gel coat and seats? You guys have such beautiful boats!
Normal Cleaning: Boat Bling makes Hot Sauce and Vinyl Sauce (best cleaner for outside and seats IMO) makes water spots disappear.
Preventative: Aerospace 303, best way to protect seats
Once a season: Rejex high gloss coating as an alternative to waxing, I put two coats on at the beginning of the season and it makes wipe down super easy.
On my old, used boat, I used toilet bowl cleaner on the hull to remove the brown river stains. Our river creates quite the stain even if you're just in the water for the day. That's pretty harsh for a new hull - any recommendations?
Scroll to 6.53 for the best basic cleaner......also I recommend some Hot Sauce, which I swear by between waxes. Costly but worth it. Buy it by the gallon and not by individual bottles, as you will use it quite often - like after every outing when you dry the boat after washing it.
Interior fiberglass - Boat Bling Hot Sauce
Interior plastics - Meguiar's vinyl & rubber cleaner/protecant 57
Vinyl - still looking for a good cleaner (wasn't impressed with vinyl sauce or mequiar's 57) but always use 303 Aerospace before/after each outing
Hull - Meguiar's 105/205 and rejex
I wet slip my boat in a lake in the Adirondacks. Every fall the hull has stains on it and they’re hard to get off. I use a combination of elbow grease, Slimy Grimy and acid based cleaners. Does a pretty good job but is a lot of work.
For those who use Rejex, do you think it would help in my situation? Thx

Yes. It is rare that I store in water but after 10 days in the water at Lake Powell, the boat was noticeably easy to clean thanks (I think) to Hot Sauce, Boat Bath and Rejex.
My Neighbor just had his 36 foot eliminator ceramic coated.... and I will tell you what, once I get all my gel coat imperfections squared away, I am doing it. No more Hot sauce or Micro fiber towels. Just wipe it down with a cloth rag after use.
I hear everyone rave about Rejex, I'm wanting to try it but there appears to be several different versions on Amazon. Can someone please advise which Rejex everyone is referring to, or better yet post a link. Thanks!

3M boat cleaner is the best product, the seats in your boat condition beautifully with this product. Our boats get a lot of wear and tear and they are two years old. Our use of this product at the beginning of the season and then again just before I took the boat away for the winter.
I often use the cleaner products of Star Brite. For boat seats, you can use Mildew Stain Remover or 303.
For the hull and bottom, You can use Ez-On Ez-Off for fiberglass boat or Ultimate Aluminum for Aluminum Boat.
