What did you buy for your boat this winter?

So with the winter blues officially sunk in, I've been longing for some Spring/Summer weather to get the old girl back on the water......excited to get the boat out there too

With that being said, my wallet has taken a hit the past few weeks as I've been buying some essentials for the boat this year:

• Swivel wakeboard tower rack
• His and hers wakeboards (nothing fancy, just beginner boards)
• Magma grill. Including carry case, mount, extra Yamaha table leg to mount on, cutting board attachment)
• Garmin echoMAP CHIRP 53dv w/ transducer

As well as upcoming purchases this month:

• WetSounds Rev8 or Icon8 tower speakers (haven't decided on which ones yet)
• WetSounds amp (haven't decided on which one yet)

Summer needs to hurry up and get here. The winter is becoming too costly!

So what are you buying for Summer??

SeaDeck still sitting in garage.
Cobra GPS antenna for my fixed VHF radio.
Re-install tower since I need to take it off every winter for storage.
Depth Finder - also in garage
Take up hatch for fuel tank in order to do the depth finder and then install that seadek.
I have a few other ideas as well, but I really need to take care of what I have already purchased!

Trailer may need new tires this year
Better trash can

No matter how much I think my boat is "all set" - I constantly see more crap I wanna buy.
You guys and this forum are EXPENSIVE.

For spring:
1. SeaDek for the cabin
2. 4 new radial tires
3. Maybe add more LEDs

Have not spent a dime on the boat this Winter, she is right where we want her to be. Don't really care about sound systems, lights, etc. Just care about reliability and keeping it nice.

Now my Corvette has a long list of performance parts I want to buy, I guess 650 HP is not enough Lol.

Our Yamaha just needs an oil and filter change along with a bath and she's ready for the season.

Our Sea Ray cruiser on the other hand is getting most of the attention (and money) this year.
new water heater (original one was leaking) already installed
Haulout for a bottom job
While it's out one of the shaft seals is being replaced
A new stereo system
Adding tv to the upper deck with custom mount
Upgrading tvs in 2 of the bedrooms along with adding Blu-ray players.
Replacing the carpet on the helm deck and rear party deck

All of this along with paying the slip rent and boat insurance for the year.

Can you saw ouch!

@PEARCE how bad is insurance on a vessel like that? You don't have to share a number, a general comparison would be fine. Just thinking ahead for retirement.

@Bill D it's really not too bad. It's based on value and our marina requires $500,000 in liability coverage. I shopped around quite a bit with all the "national" or well known providers and found a local agent that handles only marine insurance. He had all the coverage that the other carriers had on their quotes and he was way cheaper. I pay it at once for the year and it drops my rate even more. It's less then a thousand a year.

I had a knee surgery a few years back and I don't have the best knees curious to hear from some of you that have kneeboarded, how hard is it on your knees? Is it as bad as you would think or is it not that bad unless you are trying tricks? We bought it mainly for the kids but curious if I should even try it and risk my knees that aren't the best to begin with.

@NewBoater I found kneeboarding very hard on my 'good' knees. I don't recommend it. If you want to do watersports try surfing. It is much easier on your whole body.
