I was scrolling through some old threads the other day and noticed there are quite a few people who used to be very active here that have not been in 1-2+ years...

I don't want to sound like a stalker, but it got me wondering what happened to many of those formerly very active people... I wonder if they sold their boats or, just don't participate on the site anymore...

Just a random thought...carry on...

I have noticed myself that I do not post as much as I used too...... Once boating season gets in full swing I bet some come back and post from time to time. The good thing as a lot of the question we all have can be found in our FAQs and we don't have to ask them anymore.

When i first bought my supermoto i was on Thumpertalk every day while i was modding it and setting it up. When i finished doing everything i bearly went on it anymore because the bike is perfect and i learned a ton from them. While i am extremely greatfull for them the need diminished and i focussed on boating again.
The same thing with my FZ1 and the FZ1 message boards.

Life changes and events sometimes change our priorities and we drift away from things that once were important to us.

I havent played with my PS4 since i moved to NC and could care less...lol

Not to be too morbid, but I'm only active on a couple of boards (this one mostly) but I've often wondered how anyone will ever know if something bad happens to me. We've had a few members pass away and someone that knew them personally was able to inform the board, but what about folks like me who really don't know anyone personally? If I'm wiped out this afternoon everyone will be left wondering "Whatever happened to Larry?"

Maybe we need a buddy system?

Larry Who???? LOL:winkingthumbsup"

Ok everyone lets pair up with our buddies....... :D

Kinda off topic but what ever happened to acid rain? I remember growing up and there was always talk of acid rain and how it was destroying monuments and was dangerous to humans. Then poof, never talked about again.

We could ask acid rain's buddy, global warming?

What about the step child El nino......

Get in line!

Killer Bees ;)

Hard to get back on topic after the "buddy" photo :winkingthumbsup"...however, I used to be fairly active but I sold my Yamaha about a year ago so things have changed. While I still have my small pontoon most of my boating is now on larger ships:

I think priorities change for most people, I spend more time on the Corvette Forum than others, mainly due to the fact I love my car more than my boat. Also you can only talk about boats so much, and with the politics, religion, sensitive topics not allowed here - well you can only talk about boats.

There is a wealth of knowledge here, and most of it is searchable and in the FAQ, so not many new topics to really bring up these days as most, not all have been covered here time over time.
