What is this block of aluminum?? on the pump? Is it something that prevents oxidation/rust? IMG_6502.PNG
 
So in theory it would be ok to move it to the matching bolt holes on that same pump? I'm needing those bolt holes for a wake related experiment.

This experiment brought to you buy a 800 lbs Sumo-Sak that rolled off the swim step of my boat last weekend.
 
The original one is magnesium for fresh water so if you are in fresh water move it anyplace you want * , zinc is for salt water so if you are in salt water replace it with a zinc one and move it anyplace you want * just be sure it is attached to the pump housing where ever you move it.*
