Several months ago I came across Ward Carrolls channel wherein he talked about where we’d be right now with a Super Tom Cat if personal politics hadn’t gotten in the way.

In this particular episode he talks about concept, design and deployment of the F-14. Had personal politics not gotten in the way the Navy would have had a jet capable of super cruise and much much more capable than the F-18. But so goes the military industrial complex.

Last night I came across this episode, and keeping with the threads title. This movie, The Fighting Lady (one I’d never heard of) is high lighted along with a book about several of the major battles of WWII. I’ll be looking for The Fighting Lady tonight..
