What size box anchor

Not sure on the 230 but you would only need the small one. To get them in the anchor locker safely requires some modding as they are big and heavy and will cause damage in there if not secured. I hung mine folded with an 18 inch piece of rebar and it tucks in a little cubby thats in the anchor locker so it doesn't bounce around. I have 2017 240 though not sure what the locker is like on the 230.

that is what it looks like unfolded I don't think you could fit it in the anchor locker safely in that position. In this video you will see at the 1:39 mark what I'm talking about they show how it folds up for storage

What size box anchor fits in our anchor compartment?

Don’t buy one. They are heavy, bulky and unnecessary. Get a Fortess FX-7 and be happy or if you really must have a bulky, manly anchor buy a Mantus.

Yeah after looking at reviews of the box I was leaning toward thr mantus. I'll check out the fortess. Thanks

I have plenty of experience setting fluke anchors successfully (fortress is a hot rodded fluke style). That said my current lake bottom has proven difficult at times. I have heard that claw and box anchors work well here. Given that my primary reasons for needing an anchor on the lake is cove party areas and concert raft ups I am going to try a small box anchor this year. Being able to use less rode will be nice and hopefully it works better on my lake bottom. I plan on storing it just like @robert843

For Bimini I will leave the box anchor at home and bring two flukes.

I would love a mantus anchor but it only really stores well on a bow roller/holder.

I have both and I only use the box anchor is on very windy days or when I need two anchors. It is big and heavy and kind of a PIA, but it holds.
