Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
I can try to measure my ski locker tonight for you but it's an 08 230 not sure how much it changed though. Let me know what if it helps if no one else can chime in
@rkgdmd - I'll have both my Yeti 35 and my boat out tomorrow. I'll take a look, but I believe you're going to run into problems with the opening. When we use our 35 we put it in the bow. However, the Hopper 20 fits perfectly in the seat aft of the captain's chair.
Considering EBAYing ours as not sure we will use it because its such a pain. Probably fine if you use it for a cooler full of the same stuff, or perhaps 2 different items....but we always have a big mix, and putting food in there really doesn't work.
I'm a fan of the AO coolers! I have a YETI and love it, but strictly for camping/hunting trips...way too big and heavy for the boat. I can fit a FULL 48 can AO in my ski locker with room to spare...IMO, only way to go. And another plus...way less expensive!
@Julian - I have to agree that the Yeti Tundras are rather difficult to get into. But then that's part of their ruggedness. We use the Hopper and find it much easier. But then we only have one kid and my wife's sister so no need for a mega cooler on the boat.
When we do need more space I just place our 35 in the bow. Drinks in one cooler and food in another. Helps keep things separated and your food cool. (No grubby hands looking for drinks next to the food every 5 minutes)
