Last fall I bought a 2006 Yamaha SX230HO. The previous owner has painted every inch of the trailer and none of the identity placards are visible. My brakes aren't working and would like to rebuild the system but have no idea what brand the trailer is or where to begin to find out. Would anyone have some guidance?

Not sure what sort of picture you'd need but I just had this in my phone.

I am pretty sure it was built by MFI. They are no longer in business. I remember getting parts for mine from pacifictrailers.com. They are the same brake parts from some small car. Sorry, I just don't have the specific info. I think your trailer is the same as mine.

Here is what my 2008 212X sits on.

MFI trailer with UFP brakes. My stickers are not much better. I have replaced the rt. side caliper and breakaway cable.

Thanks folks! Time for some research. I think the master cylinder is bad so I'm looking at a complete system rebuild. This info will help a lot.

Mine is 2007 ar230

We've got a couple trailer rebuild threads with part numbers and how-to

Either in the faq or just search

This was the master cylinder on my 2010 MFI trailer. I think it would be the same as yours. but take yours apart and compare to the picture. Also make sure you replace the shock absorber.
