No, this is not a political post...not by a long shot.
This is about boats. See, we all like boats here. Heavy on the Yamaha side and that is where many of us came from, so that is to be expected. The thing about forums like this is that 99% of everybody is cool and they share and they contribute. They don't care who you are in real life so much as that they care about sharing a common passion.
I'm sharing a video from 2013 below. It's my wife wake surfing behind my AR230 on a super windy day in September.
The thing that strikes me is how happy were then. The wave was pretty awful, we had no Wake Wedge and you got dizzy going in circles all day, but we surfed it! Our "ballast" originally was storage tubs and/or in-floor coolers filled with water. I think everybody on the boat that day owned a Yamaha. Some went on to buy dedicated wake boats, some went on to make their Yamaha way better at surfing and watersports.
I guess what I am trying to say is have fun and be happy folks. This is a damn cool sport we have. Sometimes people chose one route or another with their toys and life, you might use your boat differently. Doesn't make those choices or yours better or worse, just different. It's still the same passion.
In the end "Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing -- absolutely nothing -- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." - Kenneth Grahame
