Today, for the first time, I took the boat out alone. I was excited because I was previously able to hit 52 with 4 adults & 2 toddlers and I was convinced I'd hit 55. The water was smooth, the wind was light, 1/3 tank of fuel and...52. I read that these boats were limited by RPM but mine was running at 52 at 7,400 -7,550. In previous runs I was pretty sure I got 7,600. So I ask, is it possible that these boats actually have a speed limiter on them? I guess this is anecdotal since nobody I usually go out with likes to go >50 for more than a minute or so I'm just curious. What are others with the 195s seeing on the top end?

water temp will slow you down as it goes up, fuel loses potency if it sits for a while small weeds in the impeller can rob you of top end, so if it runs good and you are off a mph or two don't let it ruin your day. As they say forgetaboutit.

Air temp too, best time to do a speed run is early morning when the air is fresh, dense and cool.
