For those who have gone to Bimini, and for those who plan/hope to one day, if you had to pick a song or two, or three as your theme song(s), what would they be for your Bimini trip?
I have three.
1. For the crossing, I was tempted to go with "Can't Feel my Face" by the Weekend because I usually can't feel my a$$ after the crossing, but I decided to go old school instead: Ozzy, Crazy Train

2. While in Bimini: Zac Brown Band, Island Song

3. Big picture: For obvious reasons, I was going to pick Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes No Shirt No Problems", but I gotta go with "Don't Blink":

What are yours?

For the crossing

If it gets bad

Once we see the light blue Bimini water

When we reach land

Once everyone is accounted for

What we bring for desert

Was that too many?

I will probably disappoint y'all on this.

In general and especially during the crossing, synchronized engines are music to my ears. I would like to time some time think about this, because I have put zero thought on it whatsoever.
If I had to make a quick suggestion before my wife bits me to bed, I would have to say for the 2017 crossing .... Wanger Ride of the Valkyries

While in Abaco this year, particularly at Nippers, I discovered "The Barefoot Man". Definitely my island music of choice right now.

Is this the story of how you met the reef?

We had definitely just left Nippers...

Here is my list with the justification of such strange choices.

  1. On the way to Bimini: Wanger Ride of the Valkyries
    1. Steady and Determined
  2. While waiting to clear Customs and Immigration in Bimini: Rowan Atkinson London Olympics
    1. That exactly how it felt to me, including the ending.
  3. While in Bimini? what else but Vivaldi Four Seasons
    1. because the dam weather will change on a dime
    2. A 40 minute run to Sapona will make you experience all 4 seasons
  4. Return trip to Florida: Mozart Turkish Marsh
    1. because everyone is in such a rush to get back and once they see US land, they go WOT.
  5. In the event my boat becomes disable: Think of Me
    1. this will be broadcasted on channel 69 the entire time
    2. at 2:30 I will interrupt with ... Can it be ? Can it be, Betik at 25.739634, -79.609621 ? ( update the coordinates with each iteration of the song)
    3. hoping that 2:39 @Julian will chime in
  6. At the very first sound of the USCG heli, I start playing Phantom of the Opera
    1. Patronize me in substituting "Phantom of the Opera" for "Coast Guard Helicopter 6550" and then try to argue that those heli blades are not your Angel of Music......

Wanger Ride of the Valkyries

Rowan Atkinson London Olympics

Vivaldi Four Seasons

Mozart Turkish Marsh

Think of Me

Phantom of the Opera

For a couple of boats this year....

Row, Row, Row your boat gently down the stream (gulf stream that is)....

for 2017 ?. how about

@Julian, you rescued one of them, @biminibrad rescued the other. Otherwise they could have been!

Indeed...but they could play that song until we arrived! LOL Although I listened to it for about 5 seconds and my ears were bleeding....might make you abandon ship before rescue arrived! LOL

this thread has been very illuminating in better understanding personalities.

LOL I can see it now @veedubtek in his shop at work turning wrenches listening to Jeff the Muff Diver and She like my deck or possibly big panty woman :jimlad:

May have changed mine
