Where is the horn on a 2012 242 limited s . Mine quit working and I would like to locate, to replace if needed.
 
Starboard side you will see a little grill by the bow cleat. There should be a duck right underneath it. That’s your horn. ;)

Thanks very much ,I feel pretty stupid, I've seen it many times but never thought about it being the horn. The boat is on the trailer and I didn't look at the outside, I just looked when I was inside the boat. Thanks again!
 
There are plenty of cheaper options on Amazon for that horn from the OEM. The yamaha part may be quite a bit more expensive.

I guess it's a common failure as it is exposed to water. Salt water can kill one every couple years from what I have heard. I replaced mine, only to find out that my switch may have actually failed. As the new horn has already stopped in a couple months. GRRR.
 
You have 2 auxiliary horns one dead center of your right hand and the other dead center of your left.
