Need some guidance please. Where is the transducer on a 2018 Yam 212x? I have a Depth and temp Comm Error but I can’t find the transducer to check the connection or to try to replace it.

Any guidance and pictures of it would be greatly appreciated !!!

Thanks

Along these lines, I'm also having the Depth & Temp comm error on my 2020 212x. Are there any tests or things I should try to finick with before just ordering a new part? I was in some seaweed right before mine started acting up. It will clear itself of issue every other time out and be fine the entire day, and then the next time out go back to throwing an error and beeping every 5 mins. Not familiar with how these units work so any guidance would be great.

I’m also having transducer error on my 2020 212S. I just ordered a replacement transducer from Partzilla. In the meantime, does anyone know how to disconnect the alarm until the new part comes in? I don’t want to park the boat over the holiday week but I can’t stand the alarm going off every couple of minutes and would like to disable it.

There is a tiny piezo alarm directly behind the helm in that right hand compartment. Just cut it or throw a fuck ton of tape over it.

Also looking for guidance. Had a communication error 'Depth Transducer, check auxiliary CAN' come up and before I buy replacement transducer, is there something else I should be looking at first?

I am having same problem …..don’t cut the buzzer. I disconnected it and other comm errors showed up. There is a button (lower left) on your touch screen that will silence the alarm for a while. The transducer is in the back through the access panel and on my 242XE it looks like the muffler and some hoses are in the way to get to it. Although I could probably manage it I don’t have the time …..my stereo also has a comm error which is annoying. Good luck ….my boat is still under warranty so gonna take it in to the dealer in October….will limp along till then
