Greetings,
I just about got my new AR240 tweaked the way I like it. Next on my list is to install underwater LED(s). It was super easy to install on my 2010 SX240, right in the center above the drain plug. But the new hull design is not as clear cut for me. Anyone have underwater LEDs installed on a 24' Yamaha with the articulating keel?

I finally installed the Lumitec Seablaze X underwater LED. Works great!

I bought two of the Dagon v2 from boatpluglights.com and have yet to install. I would like to put them, one on port and one on starboard side of the transom, but I'm concerned with space. I haven't yet removed the access panel under the swim deck seats as that will require unsealing them. I was hoping someone did this already so I could piggyback their install. A lot of results, but I haven't seen any this way on a 2017 242 s.

I have the service manual and it looks like the exhaust pipes could be in the way. If I can't install the way I want, at least I know I can put a single light above the articulating keel like Chris did!

Im really late to the party here but did you end up installing the lights? I have a 2018 212 Limited S and would like to put two on each side. I had these done on my older Malibu but Im really nervous drilling a hole in my boat!

When you installed the light above the articulating keel, where do the wires feed up to and how did you fish them through?

Thanks!

How did you pull the wires through? And from where?

You can get to them easily through the clean out panel. I was able to do it through the center cover but you can take the panel out for more room.

Great, thank you!

You can follow wiring already there between panels on the side of the engine cover to pull it forward. Sorry, I wish I had pics of that.

Mine are in the same location, easy to grab through the cleanout hatch.

Just installed Lumitec Seablaze lights on the 242x. 3 underwater lights and 5 inside, and 2 under the rear cushions. Will put the boat in the water tonight, will share photos in action

That looks awesome. I'm going to pick up an extra seablaze light over the winter to add in the center like you did.

What model lights I looked up lumitec sea blaze and a few models came up . That looks great what did you do for wiring and switches ?

I decided to go with the Quattro model (full color spectrum). There’s a much brighter version (X2) but they are too much of an overkill in my opinion for these boats (maybe for bigger yachts)

I had my marina install them, they hooked up the controller to the Connext system. It works perfectly, I can control the lights and intensity trough the connect display.

Guys, if possible, get the third (center light), this makes a huge difference. Initially I had only installed the two on the sides, however, given the downward angle of that surface, and specially the the boat is in motion, the two side lights tend to point to the bottom of the water. This limited the amount of light projected in behind the boat.... Once I put the center light (ideal location is that flat space above the articulating keel), the water lit up amazingly!

For the center light wiring, you have to go through the middle hatch next to the clean out ports.

The center light makes all the difference!. The flat surface points the light at the right angle. You’ll love it.

How do you install them to the Connext? That’s the only way I’d consider. Don’t want extra controllers. Want it to look OEM.
