Just curious and getting totally excited to meet up with some members.

We are heading down to PCB on Tuesaday-Sunday with the boat and staying at the Indigo. We've been wanting to do this since Will started it and this is the year baby!

It will be Me and my Wife, (2) 18yr boys and (2) 16yr old girls if anyone else are bringing teenagers with them?

Heading down from SW GA. I'm a tad anxious about trailering down and back but I'm in no hurry so we will take our time. Weather is starting to look pretty nice.

Anyone that has been before have any suggestions on what to bring that you didnt think of last time you went? I noticed a Sam's not too far from the Indigo.

SUPER EXCITED.

Well, trip to PCB went fine.. no issues except a TPMS alert in my expedition 45min into the trip. False alarm/reset and we carried on to the beach.

Made it in about 5hrs with a couple of stops for cheaper boat gas and a top off on the expedition.

Hotel is great !! Starting to see more and more Yamaha boaters and the parking lot is filling up.
We have the captains meeting tonight so the boats are coming in.

it’s been very choppy In the bay yesterday and today but the wind has died down and shifted a little and the chop is settling down. Next 3 days should be great. What luck!!

First adventure is Blacks Island..

@SamN44

nice to catch up and meet ya!

It was an eye opening fun experience today. Had a few issues with the boat and sucked up a shit ton of sea grass leaving Blacks Island but got it all cleared up and back on the water.

Looking forward to the crab island run tomorrow.

Last day but again the weather was amazing and the water was awesome. We hung out at “Jetboat” cove on Shell island. It was awesome meeting so many folks from all over and talking boats and life. Just a great day and week. Made a ton of new friends.

Other side of the dunes on shell island had amazing water beaches. Can’t wait to do this again next year.

@FSH 210 Sport , sorry didn’t mean to be short. So the events started Thursday and went till today. With an event each day and at night. Crab island has always been a big draw but a pretty good boat drive. 1:45-2:00hrs from PCB.
But it seems, and I agree, shell Island was a great time because it was a bit easier logistically and not such a long boat drive like the previous 2 days. It was only about :20min. I went on thw other side of shell island so our ride was longer LOL...I meant to do that ;)

Will has videos on YouTube about the last few years And we watched the recap of this week and I can only say it was very well organized by him and his wife Jennifer. They are good folks and did a great job

I've also always wanted to go. This year we planned to go, but ended up having to buy a new truck. So, that took the funds for that vacation. Can't do them all and we already had two others on the books when we started talking about doing this. Next year we'll be out as we're doing a Disney cruise. Those mofos are just as expensive as going to Disney. Also my kids are still pretty young and would struggle being out on the boat all day every day.

That looks like a blast!!

I'd love to go to one of these but I hate trailering my boat. :-/

Crab island has always been a big draw but a pretty good drive. 1:45-2:00hrs from PCB.

Appreciate you sharing your experience.
Is this a drive (boat on trailer) or a cruise via waterways?

Trying to understand if this event includes mooring at marinas, or loading/unloading at ramps daily.

@WiskyDan , Totally get that. I do as well but that's my life right now until I get a lake house and trailering it 5hrs away was a big one for me. Good confidence booster but still a PIA.

@VitaminSea, No Problem. Sorry my photos were not the best. They have a jetset 2024 FB page (I'm not on FB) and there were a shit ton more photos and commentary my wife showed me. I added the video below.

So, it's a boat too destination event. Some folks had Air B&B's that had docks/slips, a lot of us stayed at the indigo hotel PBC Marina and launched just around the corner at the ramp. There is another boat launch, Snug Harbour, just down the road too with an awesome automatic wash down pit (Will made a youtube about it). Now, there were not 100 boats trying to launch every morning. Trust me I was worried about that and how the logistics of that would be, but not everyone used just one launch and many others were either local, got one of the few spots at the marina, had a ABB/condo/ or some other spot they put in. The Indigo hotel set up a very nice 2 spot wash down area for when we came back and everyone could flush and rinse down the boats. It was Very helpful. I'm a freshwater guy and was very nervous about the saltwater but in the end it was a non-issue. I think we waited one morning (Saturday) to launch and the wait was 10min max. VERY doable. Plus we had plenty of parking for boats on trailers and all of our vehicles when we were not out on the water.

So, we would all launch in the morning, meet up at the rendezvous point very close by, and then head out to the daily destination. All of the trips started in St. Andrew Bay and we would make our way to the ICW to get to Blacks Island and Crab island. No out in the gulf runs. There was no set time to leave those places during the day so it was a group run in the mornings and everyone left and went home on their own time so it was easy recovering the boat vs everyone waiting to get back on the trailer.

How's that? Let me know if you have anymore questions. There were boats from 190's-275's, Sea-doo switches and Scarabs. Very well planned and organized. Lunches were included in the price of registration(except crab isalnd) as well as dinners and lots of nice swag. They had raffles every night and the did a poker run style punch card for a $1000 at the go away dinner/celebration/party Saturday night.
