It's been a busy wet spring so I didn't have a chance to take the boat out. Tuesday was a nice hot day so we decided to go boating. Opened the garage, unhooked the battery conditioner, and test started her up. Started right up. Towed it to ramp, I dropped it in with my wife at the helm, and she pulled away no issue. We spent a great day boating using my $2 gas from last year. This boring story is why I bought a yamaha.
Last fall I pulled it out of the water, blew the water out while inclined and changed the oil at the launch while it's hot. Then I topped it off with no alcohol gas, put it to bed for the winter and hooked up a battery conditioner. No muss, no fuss. Sometime thus summer I will change the plugs and one shot of lube to the bearing. I may be missing a step or two in my description but you get the point
Knock on wood, working on my fourth season and it's never seen the dealer.
My 1999 searay 180 with carburetor took much more work especially in the fall.
