Winch strap broke yesterday pulling the boat out of the water. All good, was wanting to upgrade anyway to the Fulton series winches, but as I’m reasearching what model I’m unsure of the winch capacity. The stock winch on my AR240 MFI trailer is 1500lb. Would like to put a 2000lb Fulton winch on there but want to make sure that’s enough. What do you all have for 24ft boats??

What did you end up putting on? Happy or would you buy something else if you had to do it again?

I went with the 2000# F2 single speed and am happy with it. Your not going to pull a 3500# boat 3/4 the way up your trailer when the bunks aren't in the water but if you plan on doing that I would go with a 5000# winch or larger.

Here's some info for you to check out in choosing a winch
