So I am adding an amp and I am trying to figure out which wires behind the console are for the 4 interior speakers. The previous owner had an amp, maybe 2. It looks likes the person took all the stuff out, the tower is wired but the wires for it are coiled up in the console. I was suprised that the even took out the power wires for the amps, at least I can't find them anywhere. The wiring harness out of the head unit has me confused, I don't know if they changed it already from stock. Could that be what the orange plug is for?

Looks like the white plastic wiring harness is connected to the back of your HU....this is what should connect to your speakers.

Trace back the wires. Here is the page out of my 2008 230 owners manual. It will be the same colored wire for your '09 Ar230. Your stock speaker wires were white and white/black for the front left speaker, and you can see the chart for the other speakers. Come back to the head unit, and find those wires in the Yamaha harness, and trace those to the wires they hook to that go to the head unit. That will answer your question.

Thank Mel.... now I just need to lose about 30 lbs so I can squeeze in there to work on it......

Grey, white, Green and violet with their corosponding black counterparts for the negative speaker lead
