We’ve had a lot of rain recently which has resulted in lots of debris in the water. As much as I hate to say it - I’m thinking of not going out for fear of fighting with the impellers/clean outs all day. What do you all think?BB648823-5A09-491D-AB2C-E54B5F7EEA12.jpeg

I am biased and will say that I would not go out in that but I replaced an engine due to overheating from debris. Partially my fault in continuing to run the boat while overheated but your picture brings back bad memories. Add an old shoe, maybe a diaper and that looks like where I was when it happened

No way!
Unless it is just a patch, and you can try to plow through it at no wake speed. Still risky. Have your tools ready to pull a pump.

I would not as I’ve also had to pull a pump due to debris... I would simply find an alternate launch site, if available or follow a big boats tracking wake out; let them clear the way for you...

Thanks guys. Hate it, but our boat’s staying on the lift today. :-( We’ll hitch a ride on my father in law’s Bennington. A little tight with 6 adults / 4 kids but his pontoon will manage the debris better. Thanks again.

Yuck! Was that on Cumberland? We are heading down to Alligator 2 Weds I hope it clears up!

Yeah. Near Burnside where the south fork and Cumberland come together. A few days with no rain will generally push the logs and stuff through so hopefully Wednesday will be clear.
