Does anyone have a 21-24’ for sale in Nor Cal?

You should consider a broader geography filter. If you find a boat you like and can agree on the financials, then contract for a remote marine survey (approximately $300):

https://www.marinesurvey.org/us-regions.html

There are shipping services like uShip that are surprisingly reasonable to transport boats that are on trailers.

There are a number of nice boats currently for sale on this forum (outside of Northern CA) by members that are well known here. Many of the members that are selling their boats have great reputations for maintaining their vessels with care.

I have purchased both of my used jetboats (2008 SX230 and 2013 242LS) remotely using surveyors and shipping services. There is peace of mind putting yourself on the boat before purchase, but I could not find the boat I wanted locally, so I had to relax the geo constraint.

Very good info. Thanks!!!

you should plan about $1 per mile through uship. You find a boat you like and we will make sure your have a way to transport it ;)
Also some jetboat member might be able to take a look at the boat for you.

Thanks for the input! What a great community this is.

I’ll keep an open mind. I don’t mind driving as far as San Diego to Seattle. Just not preferred.

In a perfect world I’d buy a 2010 24’ for $25k.

Before you guys laugh I have seen them sale at this price on eBay and the nada price is the same.

You are right, but the boats in this forum typically are highly modified. I just asked Claire ( my wife) about selling our 240 and getting a 242x. Although our boat in NADA is just at $33, She said that she would rather sale my left kidneys before selling our boat for less than $37. Besides having less than 70 hours, we have close to 10K in mods on our boat. Starting from 7inch chart-plotters, towers, radial tires on the trailer to top of the line sound system. Did I also mention the power dolly to move the boat around in the backyard!!!!

Before you start laughing please give me the benefit of the doubt until you get your own boat and start dumping $$$$ mods. Yamaha says that they are complete package and ready to go..... not really. Definitely not if you want to go to Bimini ( or Catalina in your case).

Best of luck and if you find something that needs transport, please let me know. Will find you decent transport because Uship will take 20% on fees.

Thanks everyone for your input. I just purchased a 2005 ar 230 and couldn’t be happier!

no pictures no proof you purchased anything ;)

It’s a mess but I stole it.
