Yamaha 12V Power Outlet Issues

Has anybody else had power outlet issues on thier yamaha? I am talking about the 12V receptical in the glove box next to the head unit just to be clear. I have destroyed two 12V cell phone chargers. They worked before I plugged them into the outlet, and didn't work after (the fuse probably just needs replacing in them). I haven't gotten around to putting a multimeter on it and doing any troubleshooting yet. I thought I might as well see if anyone else has had this problem and found a solution before I spend an afternoon dicking around with it.
