When is Yamaha going to come out with a 250 or 270 FSH?

Is the speculation the 24’ is growing to 25’ then? Is the 21’ going to grow to 22’ as well?
The one thing I like about the bow rider is the full windshield and ability to get most of the occupants out of the rain and sun.....this is a big downside to me for the CC.@ptwb I want a 25ft Yamaha Center console. I haven't fished in 25+ years, and even then I only had a single pole and a tiny tackle box.
The center console has a particular look to it, as well as some functionality when docking/tieing up with others that I would prefer over a bowrider. I like the more open air atmosphere of it as well (There is little breeze in the cockpit on a bowrider at anchor)
The current Scarab 255 Open ID is the competition here, and if I was buying a new boat today, I would be hard pressed to get a 24ft Yamaha over the Scarab based on layout alone. Give ma 24-25ft Center console, with twin jet drives, Yamaha engine reliability, and cleanout ports, and I'll head to the bank right now.

I have see some side canvas that would help alot, but still wont get you close to the coverage on my X. It's all about balance ...each boat has its benefits.I agree on the rain front. The bowrider wins that hands down. If you have a block out-plate/fabric under the windshield, you can close off that section and stay somewhat dry. The CC leaves everyone exposed for the entirety of the storm/rain event.
I think getting out of the sun is a double edged sword. The 242XE and 242LS with the hard mounted bimini are excellent shade providers. With my AR though, the shade is just OK. I've resorted to adding an umbrella to get the shade I needed/wanted on the boat from time to time. Interestingly enough, this giant umbrella has also served me well to keep occupants dry in rain events, when coupled with the AR bimini top. I would suspect adding shade is easier than adding rain protection. Especially if you have to remain underway while being rained on, my umbrella would NOT survive that abuse at all.
Do they even make "camper canvas" for CC boats? I'm not sure I've ever seen that now that I think about it.
