So I got a quick look at an FHS sport today for the first time ever, and saw that the jet drive has the articulating keel as one part. Could this be switched over to our 190s? What am missing? Seems like an easy retrofit to get that onto our boats.

I'm pretty sure the 190 FSH is a new hull and has a keel running forward of the jet pump, so that it effectively has an "articulating keel". The existing 190s do not have a keel, so retrofitting this on your boat would be hard to impossible (IMO).

it looks to me like the "keel" portion may just be part of the ride plate, I've not seen one though and yamahasportsplaza didn't have a parts list up for it yet,

Nice shot! Yes. So my thinking started at retro fit and then went into a remake of the ride plate with the keel attached so that it could be adapted to all older designs.

From what I was told at the release, it's the same hull as the other 190's

Could you imagine this with thrust vectors? Insane handling.

bump for updates :)
