Yamaha hull filled with water, starts, won’t run

96 Yamaha 1100 Waveraider. Fell off, kill switch lanyard failed. Ski upside down continued to run & filled completely up with FRESH water & finally died. Towed to shore. Pulled plugs & blew water out of motor. Installed new kill switch, & all new plugs. Added Heet to gas tank. Will reluctantly start on trailer in water, but as soon as I get on it dies. Any ideas?

Check compression first if ok then there is
Probably still water in engine somewhere, tip ski on its exhaust side pull all plugs, kill the ignition, crank with a fully charged battery. Keep blowing out with compressed air. Some times it takes a bunch of times. Once you get running on its own on a hose let it get the cylinders hot to vaporize any leftover water. You might be ok but if it injested enough water to bend or break something your screwed.
Get fresh gas to be sure

Sou ds like it still has water in fuel. Carb bowls and or tank. A bottle of Heet is probably not going to fix it. Typical symptoms are exactly as described, reluctant starting but will idle, dies as soon as you touch the throttle.
