Try as I might to avoid it, I suck sand/gravel through my pumps from time to time. When I reach through the cleanout ports I can feel that the impeller has nicks and dings. Has anyone had success touching these up? Does it affect performance much? Can it be done through the cleanout port successfully?

They spin at such high speeds and are so integral to your boat, I would suggest not handyman'ing it up.

Are you noticing a performance drop? Everyone’s blades will show wear and tear over time.

You would need to pull the pump and remove the impeller to accomplish any meaningful repair.

I believe SBT refinishes them. I have my old one I want to get refinished but haven't looked into it too much.
