Some unlucky Yamaha owner....

Apparently the truck is still attached to it.

Where was that at?

Never, and I mean NEVER, build next to a river. Ask me how I know.

No way the truck is still attached. That tongue is buried in the mud!

Honestly, the damage to the boat looks pretty minimal. Trailer is probably borked, and the boat likely needs a good clean out. As best I can tell that's a '17-'19 AR192, still worth something if only the front went under.

Noooooooooo....

Hope everyone is OK. Looks like a scary situation.

Ho-lee-cow... I feel bad for the guy. The boat is the least of his concerns by the way things look. Almost appears that the river/creek somewhat re-routed itself during the flood. Would be interesting to see some before photos.

Soon on marketplace...

"Extremely clean, freshwater only, AR192. Boat has been completely flushed inside and out of all contaminates with pure rain water. Custom REAL sand beach installed in bow for the kids! Trailer very clean but may need bunk adjustment. Missing one bow cushion but suspect it'll show up eventually. No scammers!"

"Ran well last time I had it out"

That picture is from McCook Lake, South Dakota. It was an intentional flood to protect other industrial/residential areas to the south and east of there. There’s some pretty wild pictures out there of the damage. The people had like 4 hours of time to pull their boats out/evacuate. The Big Sioux River flooded and scoured out the road behind the houses/boat picture. The lake is not huge and was perfect for a 195 like that.

Google around for more details. They basically stopped the flow of the Missouri River at the lowest dam to help out the areas flooded by non controlled rivers. The reservoir we boat at was 4 feet higher than normal, but we still went out. 😀

Holy crap, the devastation is immense. I'm going to watch that again when I've got more time, but you can see the house and boat that @Julian posted at 1:55 in the video. There was an insane amount of ground that has been claimed by the water. Not sure how it'll ever get repaired.

It’s the Midwest, it’ll get fixed.

I watched the video 4 times yesterday looking for the house in the picture. Didn't find it. Looked once today and instantly saw it. Guess I wasn't looking for it in that orientation.

Circled below for others that might've missed it the first time.

Crazy thing is, before watching the video, I assumed the river was originally in the background of the picture. Or at least a feeder creek. Now looking at the video, it's astounding that it would've all been land in that pic.
