Hey guys and gals,

Recently there has been some speculation as to the relationship between Yamaha Corp and JetBoatPilot. While I'm flattered to think that some of you believe that we're at the level where a major outfit like Yamaha would want to do business with us, that is simply not the case.

Over the years I have made some great contacts with some of the engineers and leaders at YMUS. Because we're a big advocate for their products Yamaha allowed us to come see the new products at the rollout in San Diego this year. I was not invited. I invited myself and asked permission if I tagged along with a dealer buddy of mine. They were cool with the whole thing and allowed us to participate in all the events as if we were a dealer.

All in all we learned alot, and more importantly learned what needs to be adjusted this year with the changes that were made. That is the main reason we went. To get a jump on 2019 boat show season and to make sure that any surprises were found as early as possible.

Thanks again for those of you who believe in us and what we're doing. We're glad to be a part of this community and look forward to a great 2019 season!

Yamaha should buy your patent on the Lateral Thrusters. Secure the college education for your babies and free you to come up with other cool items.

We tried that but they had their own design 4 years ago, three years before we even had a design. Ours does work well but they are happy with their solution.

Really interesting that it took them 5 years to bring this design to market. Imagine how much more it cost them to develop. Just goes to show how much money is wasted in large corporate companies. I wish JBP all the best and hope they continue to address the wants and needs of the community.

We are definitely more nimble and able to move more swiftly. Mainly because we don't have all the corporate oversight that they have. We'll definitely continue to innovate in this space as long as there is work to be done.

You guys are great!!! I learned a lot about my Yamaha by watching your videos, Great job on them Will!!! I installed your Thrust Vectors and Throttle Sync and couldn’t be happier! Keep up the good work!!!

Awesome glad to hear that! Thanks for the encouragement! Enjoy!!!

What's your early opinion on Yamaha's new nozzles? Is it just a bullet point for their brochure or do you think they will make a considerable difference?

I test drove a new boat with them installed and though I think Lateral Thrusters are marginally better the factory setup is very good. They will do well with it and I doubt you'll hear much complaining about reverse control anymore.

That's a painfully honest review.:)
