Yamaha Supercharged engine maintenance

For those of you with the Yamaha 192/195’s, does Yamaha require a periodic rebuild of the supercharger? Is there any ongoing maintenance specified in the owners manual beyond oil/filter, and inspections?

No, put a blow off valve on it to protect the clutch. Like this one here that I got from fizzle factory for under $300

Crob83, This maybe a stupid question, forgive me very new to boating and Ymaxa. Do the new SVHO engines not come with any sort of blow off valve? Did you install it yourself or get the dealer to do it? Just curious how difficult the install is?

I have 2021 FX SVHO Limited Waverunner and a 255XE on order. I may need to buy 3 of these things!

No they do not come with them, it is very very easy. Go up in the search bar and type "SVHO owners" and read that thread. You will see that's where I learned everything as I have only had my boat for one year. I also put an oil catch can and removed the stock air box for a K&N

Ya that's a catch can, it just a cheap one from Amazon. I just put a fizzle sticker on it

Just put it on half way thru last year, haven't even checked it since. Check out the thread I recommend above "SVHO owners" in the search tab for more info
