Can anyone help me decipher the difference between the Yamaha TR-1 and the TR-1 HO motor? I can’t find anything online. Thanks??

About 20 to 30 hp give or take

But what gives it that extra HP?

I am sure most is fuel mapping and ignition curve because in the aftermarket world the only thing that gives it more power even after performance exhaust and intakes was the reflash and a pitched impeller

Not sure about that

Are you sure there are indeed two models?

Seems to me that the TR-1 HO is the only one I find.

The ex line offers the tr1 in three models and the tr1 ho in the exR

My wifes ex deluxe is just the non HO model with the RIDE system. It is sufficient enough to have plenty of fun it tops out at 52mph and is very fun and nimble. Its nothing compared to my modded FZR svho but what does compare to that anyway but it is extremely fun in its own way
