Yamaha V1: Removing the front compartment cover (service lid) and disconnecting throttle cable

I'm trying to disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle sensor on 2 older/used yamaha V1. On the first one, where the compartment cover/service lit does not even exist, i can see the throttle sensor and the connector, but even when I push the safety pin and push up, connector does not move even a bit. Is there any trick, move or even tool to use to get that gray (female) connector off?
On a second yet, service lit is riveted with 4 plastic rivets and from the front side (that I can see) rivets have no threads (straight or Philips) so that i would turn them and put in the position to take out. What's the secret there? I do not want to use brute force as rivets may break and jets are not mine.

i did not take pictures, but here is the explanation of how I made it work:
1) Disconnecting the throttle cable:
- once you press the safety pin on the gray (female/upper) connector and move it just a fraction of the milimeter up, enhance your grip with using the piece of cloth over the connector. First time it take some time to disconnect it, but after few repetitions you can realize that you must pull exactly straight up to disconnect the thing

2) Rivet was kind of trivial to solve
- press the inner pin (inner circle looking from the face of the rivet) in with he screwdriver and use the rivet removing 'fork' to take the rivet out
- to put the rivet back in, push the pin from the oposite side out (while in your hand) until its 'head' comes out few milimiters, then put the rivet in the place. As the last step,push the 'head' in until it alligns with the main, wide head.
