I believe the cheap eBay ones only work up to the 2012 models. I don't know that there is a commercial option for a 2017 (other than trying to convince Yamaha to sell you one at a billion dollars). Anyone know anything different?

I think this will work for your boat, you may want to confirm though since it only lists Yamaha jetskis.

I found a diagnostic tool to diagnose and clear my check engine light on my 2017 Yamaha 242x.
