Zipper Inside Bimini

Hello Members,

I noticed on my new 2014 SX240 that the inside of the bimini has a zipper but I am not sure what its for. The protective cover/sock has its own set of zippers so I'm not sure what the one internally is for. New attachment?
 
It is for attaching a awning extension.
 
an awning extension that they don't make for our model any longer, dagnabbit!:mad:

That's a bummer, I would have like one of those. I was noticing the same zipper on mine last weekend.
 
On the bright side at least the stock Bimini came with a zipper installed. It should make things a little easier if you decide to have aspen one custom make an extension for you, assuming you can get the same zipper for the extension?
