Was fighting with my front cooler seat unloading the cooler last trip out. Thought I should cut a piece of pvc for a prop, but a piston would be MO Better...

I know what you mean the seat cushion keeps the hatch from being able to stay open.

Two suggestions;
Replace the hinges with friction hinges so it stays open when lifted?
Modify a fender to hold it propped open ?
