Throttle issue

2011 242 Limited S owner here. Throttle is smooth From Neutral to Forward and Reversev detents. The throttle is Also smooth when Im giving throttle in reverse. When I'm giving throttle to accelerate it is somewhat stiff and sometimes i get a kind of knocking noise while moving it forward to give acceleration. Is there something i can lube or adjust? Just kind of weird it only feels stiff while giving the boat some throttle to move.

Is it both or just one?

Take the binnacle apart and lubricate everything.

Have you tried adjusting the amount of friction there is on the throttle handles ?
