Considering a 2008 Sugar Sand Super Sport

Good morning,

I'm looking at a minty red 2008 Sugar Sand SS with the Mercury 200 Optimax jet drive near me in central Texas. Owner says very low hours and says they have had no issues with it. They are asking $8K. Boat does look extremely nice and has been garage kept.

A few Google searches have made me wary about being able to get the motor repaired if anything goes wrong. Are there unobtanium parts involved that might leave me with a really pretty yard ornament?

I have a budget for normal boat repair costs, but this sorta looks like it might be next level.

Pretty much anything that is unique to that boat is unattainable. There isn't any parts or dealer support at all. Used stuff is your only hope and most of what you find used is expensive.
As far as the engine most are having issues with what can be swapped with.
8k is a lot to spend on a discontinued brand with limited replacement parts
