I may have finally broken the emotional attachment with my truck and ready to place it for sale,

1994 F350 XLT – Dually - Crew Cab – 7.3L Turbo IDI – E4OD – 2WD - 160K miles

this is the International Harvester engine that made the 7.3L name (not a power stroke, no computer)

2nd owner – no accidents, no performance mods, not a coal roller

Great truck but I only use it for the local boat ramp and boy scout trailer so it’s more than I need and I don't have space to store it

Original owner was my next door neighbor who had an excavation business. He pulled bobcat trailers but was very specific about keeping all his maintenance up. I bought it 18yrs ago at 100k miles.

Starts easy, runs great, A/C is strong and cold, for an older truck it’s in great condition, this isn’t a worn out, performance modified rat’s nest, seats/interior are still in very good condition

issues, thin paint, a couple of small surface rust areas, dash bezel is loose at the top, replaced some bulbs in the instrument cluster and now oil gauge is intermittent, a leak I believe at the power steering reservoir when you fill it to capacity, dash pad is cracked, brakes can get soft and have to bled (many people upgrade the booster from HD truck)

New items,

Injection pump - 30k miles ago/ Tires – less than 5k miles / Batteries – 3 years / Fuel tanks and pick ups – last year / A/C replaced – 7 yrs ago / Jasper transmission upgrade – before I bought it / Radiator and water pump – 6 years ago/ full front end rebuild 2 years ago / new motorcraft glowplugs and glowplug wiring harness /

$12,000.

The good old days when it’s just a big engine, some well built turbos and enough torque to pull a house off its foundation. Not many of these survived over the years. Should sell quickly, especially if somebody is looking for a farm truck.

I had a 1990 F Superduty (F450) 2wd dually with a n/a 7.3l diesel. It was a welding gas bottle delivery truck with a steel bed/rack and liftgate. I put a 400 gallon s.s bulk tank with compressor back there to haul cow and sheep milk back to our cheese facility for processing, from a few other farms in the northern part of the State. It was a beast. Did not like going over 60mph, but I usually stayed away from the interstate anyway. And a 2wd dually was not the best for Winter driving here. But she always got the job done.
